SMSCI ALARM MONITRING STATION FOR GSM SMS SYSTEMSSMS Computer Interface (SMSCI) was designed to operate SMS signals in GSM systems of alarm monitoring centres. It provides the operator with complete information concerning the event. Data is sent from the supervised building to the centre, which enables permanent control over the present mode of any alarm system. SMSCI receives the SMS from the GSM transmitter linked to the supervised building and, having verified it, allows the operator to deal with the alarm message. Every message includes sending module’s phone number, event code and SMS receiving time. If a number of signals is received at the same time, the messages are stored in the buffer and are dealt with in the order in which they have arrived. The device is equipped with two independent buffers of 50 events capacity. The first one remembers the messages sent to the computer or display. The second remembers the events sent to the printer. Such a division in event memory allows storing messages independently from any delay or damage in external devices. SMSCI works with SIMS II software, and can be used in two modes: REMOTE – the events are automatically sent to the computer (protocol MLR-2) and LOCAL – the events are displayed on LCD screen together with receiving time. In both modes all messages are stored in the printer. The device automatically senses any damage of the computer (or database programme) and switches into LOCAL working mode (in this case the operator manually confirms the receiving of the message). Present working mode is signalled with displaying information on the screen and lighting the diode. SMSCI can work with 1-3 systems on independent receiving cards. Every card is equipped with a radio interface (GSM transceiver)or net interface (SMSC compatibility module). The diodes signal net interface mode and message receiving. SMSCI is fed from the power net (220V/50Hz). Power cut protection is provided by the inner battery (12V/7Ah) or external battery set (12V). Present feeding mode is signalled with a lighting diode (red- battery feeding, green- power net feeding). External devices’ (computer, printer) working mode is signalled with corresponding diodes on the console. |
